One sat on the road at Lower Bushford (btw Hasguard Cross and Slatemill) this morning at c.0100. It was a bit reluctant to fly off as I approached in the car.
Unclear if it had made a kill, or was feeding on roadkill, but this sort of behaviour is not uncommon for Tawny Owls: we have seen it several times in recent years, including one in the middle of Llandeilo high street!
