From Angie and Andy Polkey, Ceredigion - We saw 2 buff breasted sandpipers on the Castle Martin range in pembs yesterday 18 September. They were incredibly confiding and feeding on the short turf at approx grid ref SR962931. We watched for ages and they were still around when we returned later. Really beautiful birds, elegant and, as one description says, peaceful looking!
NB grid ref appears to be just west of St Govan’s car park
