Marsh harrier was hunting around the mere for an hour this afternoon, flushing 3 Snipe. Otherwise 20 Mallard and 8 Teal and a Sedge warbler. Earlier at a quiet St Ann's Head, just a handful of Pied wagtail, the Linnet flock down to 50 birds and a Wheatear. A couple of Chiffchaff included a singing bird and 3 Blackcap in the valley at Mill Bay. The Gann as Kim reports
27 Brent, a Wheatear, the 2 adult Med gulls inc 32EN, a ringed Curlew (no 08), just 5 Ringed plover and 2 Dunlin. Unfortunately every single bird was flushed by a couple of dog walkers just as the tide was rising! With Ian S and Andy T. Hopefully Andy got some better photos of the harrier.
