Carew Cheriton-Milton

These little egrets were in the field behind the house this morning. There were in fact eight, but one didn't make the team photo.

Meanwhile the siskin flock in Milton Marsh has grown - about 20 were twittering round the tops of the alders, hazel and ash trees in the damp woodland. Regular spot is a  short way along the Carding Mill trail from its eastern end, where there is a large square post by the path.
