Glaucous gull, Llys-y-fran

A superb juvenile Glaucous gull picked out by Paul just as the light was going around 4:30pm was the pick of our visit. The main roost of 3000+ gulls formed way up the reservoir around 500m distant, so not easy, and for such a massive gull even it stretched the pixel limits on my little camera! (It's the big cream-coloured blob in the middle of the photo that dwarfs the LBB gull in the foreground).

Otherwise 4 Yellow-legged gulls (3 adult and a 3cy), 2 Med gulls (both 1cy), 5 Common gull (4 adult and a 1cy). Great-crested grebe up to 6 birds. 12 Teal, 5 Goldeneye (drake and 4 female) a Chiffchaff and 46 Greylags was the most I've seen here.
