Broad Haven

No further sign of the probable Hume's Warbler up to 4pm, although Peter Howe heard what was almost certainly it calling from the road at the eastern end of the pond early afternoon.  A nice selection of birds in Broad Haven, including Black Redstart on the house roofs around Puffin Way, and a Firecrest at the Slash Pond (along with 2 Blackcaps and a Water Rail).  Lots of thrushes making the most of the berries including Redwing, Blackbird & Song Thrush.  We finished the day with a Purple Sandpiper on Emmett Rock which by late afternoon was surrounded by water.

Plenty of Redwing in Broad Haven today, getting close to them was not easy
