A juvenile Iceland Gull was on the sandbank in front of The Webley Hotel this morning.
At least 600 gulls were in the roost, mainly Herring Gulls but an increasing number of Lesser Black-backed Gulls, 220 Black-headed Gulls and 1 adult Med Gull.
For the WeBS count over the weekend some of the species counts were 274 Wigeon, a single Gadwall (only recorded in 7 previous years for WeBS), 7 Goosander, 2 Common Scoter, 42 Redshank, 2 Greenshank, 5 Bar-tailed Godwit and 54 Curlew.
