Just to add to Rob and Richard’s reports from Castlemartin, a photo of a probable Water Pipit taken from the hide on Thursday afternoon. I didn’t get to see the tail so not 100% sure and have been consulting others as to whether Rock Pipits can get this pale - hence the delay in entry. If anyone knows of a Rock Pipit this pale don’t hesitate to share please - it’s all good learning!
What
an extraordinary place the Corse is. I doubt there are many places in
the UK where, in the space of only a few hours, you can see 6 raptor
species. Thanks to Rob for pointing out the Merlin which I’d have missed
otherwise.
