Bendy bill at Sprinkle Pill

From David Ord:

Yesterday’s receding tide at the Pill mouth gave up the usual mix of waders and waterfowl. The flocks of golden plover and lapwing were very flighty when forced to rest on the mud next to the salt marsh and far more settled as the mud flat widened and they could rest further from cover. A black-tailed godwit showed off its skill of distal rhynchokinesis - the ability to bend the end of its bill. After a few failed search attempts the words ‘godwit bendy bill’ did the trick to reveal what was going on.
