I arrived at the hide at around 09.30 to find Adam Seaton there, he'd already seen a water rail poking about close to the hide. We had an amazing hour watching both marsh harriers: one was briefly mobbed over Kilpaison Burrows by a female sparrowhawk. The harriers flew up and down, along the watercourse on the far side as usual but also, with so much standing water, close to the hide. At least 200 teal and 50 mallard were kept constantly on the move - picture below of the harriers spooking some mallard. Two red kites appeared together over Kilpaison Burrows from the north, and to cap it all the ringtail hen harrier flew the length of the Corse from west to east. We both left around 10.30, having other things to do.

PS looks as if Richard and Mike met Adam as he walked back!
