King Eider

From David Ord - The first year drake King Eider continues westwards on its winter tour of Pembrokeshire’s crab venues. Late morning it was diving around the crab pots lying immediately west of Stack Rocks, NE of St Brides. Other than that and the coastal cormorants, the sea between St Brides and Howney Stone was very quiet. By contrast, on reaching the coastal ‘corner’ at Howney Stone, a Great Northern Diver, another diver (unidentified) and a seal were fishing about 500m to the North East. Earlier, 1 GND and 3 other divers were offshore Broadhaven with a flock of a dozen Common Scoter.
