Checked out the Gann first thing with Paul. A 3cy Yellow-legged gull just above the footbridge, was the pick of the couple of hundred gulls that were drifting in to bathe, just a single adult Med the only other of note. 2 Skokholm ringed GBB and a ringed Herring gull but couldn't read the numbers. 16 Brent were briefly on the foreshore, a Great Northern diver and the Goldeneye still on the pools. Derek called in and drew our attention to a large flock of Lapwing towards Mullock. We headed over to the mere next, but compared to yesterday it and the fields down to Martins Haven were birdless. I'd been toying with a look for the Cattle egrets south of the county so we headed across the Cleddau see if the grass was any greener that side. No sign of any egrets or indeed cattle in the fields between Maidenwells and St Twynnells. A quick look from the roadside either side of the Corse turned up the un-ringed Marsh harrier and 100s of Lapwing and Golden plover (plus scope views of David and Richard). Final stop was Quoits Mill, 7-8 Heron and 2 Little egret was best we could see here. Maybe another day.
