The Teifi

An early morning visit to the reserve found a pair of Goldeneye on the river with 160 Teal. Along the entrance road from the main car-park back towards the wire Buffalo sculpture a couple of Willow Tits calling - presumably a pair.  Nice to get the colour rings of three of our Reed Buntings, Alison Rees with Nathan Walton saw another colour combination whilst working on sluice gates yesterday.

On that narrow bar before the tide covered it, 330 Golden Plover, 350 Lapwing and 180 feeding Wigeon were the large flocks, the Goldie flock a very high count and spectacular as they rose up and disappeared...
