Two lovely NYD walks, first one at the Gann, and the second over to Dale, up and over the Airfield, across to Marloes Mere and back via the lanes. We notched up 63 species, highlights of which were the Ruff (in the 'sandpit' fields above the saltmarsh with Redshank & Lapwing), 3 sinensis Cormorants (on the Gann lagoon), at least 29 Brent Geese at the Gann, an approachable Raven above Marloes Sands, a single female Pintail at Marloes Mere, and 2 Mediterranean Gulls (both 2CY) in a field at Marloes Court Farm. Forgot to mention yesterday a Chiffchaff at dusk just up the road from the house, looked perfect for tristis (unlike the others I have seen this winter) but views just too brief and it did not call. Hopefully still around (but we couldn't find it today).
