On a beautiful morning to start the new year, a Red Breasted Merganser at the junction of the Western and Eastern Cleddau, the first I have seen here. The Golden Plover flock was back at the mouth of Sprinkle Pill along with 300+ Canada and half a dozen Greylag Geese. Amongst the flying creatures, a Brown Long Eared Bat was hawking insects in the sunshine at 1pm.
