That wing-tagged marsh harrier

The North-West Norfolk Ringing Group's website has been updated to include our sightings of the wing-tagged marsh harrier IL. Scroll about half way down the page to find him here http://www.nwnrg.co.uk/research/marsh_harrier/MH_Project_Recoveries.htm . It does not yet include Wing-tags's second flit to Marloes on 4 January, or recent sightings by Debbie Head reported yesterday. The right hand photo in the link below, the first to be taken, is by Rob Lewis, all 3 have been credited to me on the site. In the meantime the two females are still present on the Corse.

One curiosity: there is a sighting of him which has not been mentioned before near Felixstowe, on 30.10.2020. This is nearly 3 weeks before Rob Lewis and I first saw him at the Corse, which is fine - but Richard C had a distant sighting of a marsh harrier with orange wing tags, too far away to read, on the Corse on 22 October, which he put on the blog here  https://pembsbirds.blogspot.com/2020/10/castlemartin-corse_22.html. Was that a different tagged bird, or has ours been criss-crossing not just Milford Haven but the UK? I'll ask Phil Littler for more about that sighting! In the meantime please keep the NWN Ringing Group posted on further sightings, either directly or via the blog, me, Dave, whichever's easiest for you. Many thanks!
