Marloes peninsula

A long walk around the whole of Marloes peninsula today was pretty quiet.  At Musselwick a male Peregrine above a traditional site, a few Stonechat dotted around the coast but I couldn't find the Ravens nest on the Deer Park although there was an adult present.

At Marloes Mere Little Grebe in the pond in front of the Britton hide - in full splendid summer plumage and another bird in shiny summer garb was a male Black redstart in the field opposite Runways Kiln.  Nothing unusual on the Mere where rather few ducks - Mallard, Shoveler, Wigeon and a couple of Tufted Duck  and Teal - quite a contrast to January.
