St Brides and eastwards

From David Ord:

Nice to get out on the coast again for a change and great to see so many Meadow Pipits displaying. Migrant - wise, a Wheatear was chasing around a stubble field just beyond Halfway Rock and a Whimbrel dropped in to the beach at St Brides for a couple of minutes before moving on. A walk in Pembrokeshire invariably produces something that is ‘different’ and interesting. Today it included a squadron of Cormorants, that seemed to be making their way from fishing grounds in the Haven to those in St Brides Bay, and a Red-throated Diver sporting its red throat - the first time I’ve had the pleasure of seeing this species out of winter plumage.
