Plenty of Porp's at Strumble 09:15-11:15 if a bit distant. A little flurry of Hirundines, as I drove up to the cattle-grid, mostly Sand Martin's from what i could see.. As I got down to the lookout a couple of Goldfinches flew in off the sea, then odd ones followed, then a little charm of six. We don't often think of Goldfinches migrating over the sea, but I have seen them from the ferry in the past. Over the rest of the watch several pipits came in but the really odd one was a group of six not quite so charming Ravens... but missed out on the expected Wheatears.
Back home in Mathry I heard a sort of shrill clucking and to my delight a Buzzard was doing some pretty amazing sky-dancing. I must have witnessed this before but i cant remember when it was quite spectacular which as much as i love them is not usually an adjective I would normally use to describe a Buzzard!
