Marloes mere and the Gann

From Peter Law. Two jousting male reed buntings, a spotted flycatcher & several sedge warblers all vying for attention in the afternoon sun in the shrubs and trees to the left of Marloes Mere just in front of the bird hide. On the way to and from the National Trust car park, a lone whimbrel was working a ploughed field on the coast side of the road. A meadow pipit on one side of the path towards the sea & a skylark on the other. On to the Pickleridge to see three whimbrel in the salt marsh pools, three taking off from a shingle spit, plus a curlew flying from the ridge towards the Gann estuary.
