Dale airfield

Bit of a misty, drizzly evening, with the occasional brighter breaks bursting through, made for a very atmospheric airfield and views across to the islands. 22 Golden plover in the stoney field but worth another look in better conditions incase there's something else among them, they were mostly misty silhouettes. 4 Whinchat in the scrub overlooking Marloes Sands looked fresh in, 3 in one bush. 5 Whitethroat flicking around. Single Yellow wagtail, in a flock of pipits which after flying over dropped down on the runway. 100 Linnet and fewer wagtails tonight. 10 Wheatear, 6 Curlew and a Kestrel.

Gann at high tide. Again low light and heavy drizzle. 10 Turnstone, c40 Dunlin, could only see 2 Curlew sandpipers but visibility not brilliant, 4 Ringed plover and a Sanderling. Common sandpiper on the pools.
