Osprey at the Gann

No mention of it recently but it's still there. At first sitting half way up a large pine tree, then on a prominent post near the river from where it launched several fishing attempts in the river, the last one successful. As previously reported it then flew around for a while, quite high up, attracting the attention of a Crow and pair of Sparrowhawks, before selecting a suitable eating post. It eventually settled down to eat its 10 inch long fish. All this was around midday on a falling half tide.

Other birds were 112 Curlew, about 6 Turnstone, plenty of Dunlin and at least one Curlew Sandpiper. 3 Greenshank but only one Redshank.
