Yesterday morning at Telpyn there was a good passage of finches heading west. Mostly Chaffinch (641), with smaller numbers of Brambling (37), Siskin (35), Linnet (16), Goldfinch (9). Also, 400 Woodpigeon west.
A drake Mandarin on the sea between Telpyn and Amroth was quite a surprise! I saw it again at midday this time right at the west side of Amroth.
Today at least 100 Redwing around Llanteg. And the evening gull roost offshore from Coppet Hall/Suandersfoot contained a minimum of 950 Kittiwake, 250+ Black-headed Gull and 12 Mediterranean Gull (7 Ad, 2 first calendar-years and 3 second calendar-years.) A Purple Sandpiper flew west offshore.
