Marloes and Broad Haven
Further to yesterday's report,I was the one who had mentioned the sighting of a Serin - in the field (near Marloes) adjacent to the white cottage where the Isabelline Shrike was seen yesterday.
During 2 hours there, I couldn't locate the Shrike, but the field was alive with finches, which also included Chaffinches, Goldfinches, Greenfinches, a single Bullfinch and three Bramblings. Other birds included a Reed Bunting and two Stonechat, while some Chough, a Raven, a Peregrine, a Sparrowhawk and a Kestrel all flew past.
On a short visit to Broad Haven, the highlight was two groups of Common Eider, numbering about twenty birds in total.
