A visit to see what had blown in, or out...a red kite was circling just past Maiden Wells as I drove there.
At the Corse, just a single lapwing high overhead and 3-4 small parties of golden plover flew over. I put up about 20 snipe in the fen meadow. A ringtail hen harrier appeared briefly over the reedbed, and went to ground near Starman's Hall. I left just as the rain was coming in.
