Yesterday afternoon a Woodcock in our front garden in St Ishmaels, out in the open on the lawn caught me unawares, seen from behind it was just a brown blob on the grass, I realised what it was as it saw me & took flight. Later a walk along the beach at the Gann was an uneventful one with just the Hoodie, c50 Lapwing & a Kingfisher on the pools.
