Eight Whooper Swans on the pond at St Davids were having a nice snooze in a tight group late this afternoon and only raised their heads briefly to check me out. They seemed quite happy so may stay around for a while.
Something put up about 40 ducks, mostly Wigeon with smaller numbers of Teal, Shoveler and Mallard. Also around were Snipe and singles of Little Grebe and Lapwing. Hardly anything else was flying in the humid air.
