Bob's ringed Mute Swan

The Mute Swan photographed by Bob (W27611) was ringed on 6th July 2018 at Bentlass in its second calendar year so its just 4 years old and may have bred for the first time in 2021 as they tend to start breeding in their fourth summer IF they can find a suitable territory.  In Pembrokeshire it does seem there are more swans than breeding pairs with many failing to find a suitable breeding territory.  Mute swans live on average about 10 years but the oldest ever found was 29 years. No one has reported W27611 since its original ringing date and it hasn't moved far at all - which is also quite normal for the species.
