Gann / Broad Haven

The Hooded Crow showing well at the Gann this morning, as the tide pushed up the beach it was with Carrion Crow by the (now submerged) footbridge.  A Great Northern Diver out in the bay, and 6 Brent Geese (all pale-bellied adults) for a short while before heading off back in the Angle direction.  The Shag remains on the lagoon and 2 of the 4 Cormorant were of the continental sinensis race (both looked like 3CYs, so quite probably 2 of the 3 present here last winter).  2 adult Whooper Swan were at the top end of the lagoon briefly this afternoon.

A quick trip over to Broad Haven late afternoon, poor light and breezy but we managed to pick out the 3 Velvet Scoter and a single 2CY Eider, as well as 22 Common Scoter and a single Great Northern Diver.  No sign of the Surf Scoter which was seen this morning with around 100 Common Scoter before moving off towards Nolton Haven.
