Juvenile Iceland gull, Llys-y-fran

A single juvenile Iceland gull appeared at 3:20pm before vanishing until we picked it up again at 4:20pm. There were 1000s of gulls, mostly Black-headed gulls, already on the water when we arrived with the roost forming quite quickly towards the southern end. 6 adult Yellow-legged gulls was the most for a while, otherwise 6 Common gulls, 3 GBB gulls and 2 adult Mediterranean gulls. A drake Shoveler with 4 Wigeon was a new bird for here and a distant male Goldeneye. 3 GC grebe and 2 Little grebe. With Paul.
