Usual circuit from the mere, around the Deer Park and back this evening, and what a cracking evening, at least weatherwise. Chiffchaff everywhere around the mere and the first 2 Blackcap, the large flock of c56 Stock dove were still in the former wildflower field just beyond the Britton Hide. Pair of Tufted duck, 12 Gadwall. 11 Chough (pair by Gateholm, flock of 7 over the Deer Park and a pair by Renney Slip). 3 Wheatear. Barn owl across the road above Slate Mill. Nice to be out.
