Yesterday afternoon at Llys-y-fran I was to early for a gull roost although over 100 Lesser Back-backed Gull. Great views of ten breeding-plumaged Great Crested Grebe too, and two singing Chiffchaff.
Again up north today around the Teifi Estuary first at Webly where there were a few regular gulls and waders, five Shelduck, and at least three Chiffchaff, at Poppet Sands another six. At Cilgarren Castle at least thirteen Siskin, and plently of common and some uncommon woodland birds. Finally a dash around Teifi Marshes were the highlight was two singing Cetti's Warbler, and probably my best views ever of ten Curlew on one of the pools, just before heavy rain!
