A lone Sandwich Tern feeding off Popppit this morning and 5 White Wagtails feeding opposite St Dogmael's Quay were new for the year. More interesting were 4 Shoveler feeding and resting in the middle of the sandy estuary at low tide then moving to the estuary surf for the high tide. Other numbers, a couple of Swallows with c100 Sand Martins over the reserve this evening, and on the falling tide 14 Ringed Plover and 14 Dunlin in the estuary.
