We were up near Needle Rock, Fishguard this afternoon, where there was clearly a steady movement of hirundines. During an hour or so, we noted dozens of sand martins and house martins and 100+ swallows. All were moving west along the coast. We also noted at least 30 swifts also moving west, including a single flock of 12.
