Strumble House Martin Invasion....

We arrived at Strumble at 11 am, leaving at about 1.15. From start to finish there was a large amount of Hirundines passing along the coast heading west. The greater majority were House Martins, I counted over 100 House Martins in a five minute period, so I reckon at least a thousand an hour. Swallows were also on the move but in much lesser numbers, also a few Sand Martins and at least thirty swifts. This movement was still going strong as we left.
