Gann

The colour-ringed Little Egret first noted by Andy on 22nd July still present this evening (yellow right tibia with a 6, white left tibia with an N).  Waders change daily, this evening single Ruff and Lapwing on the lagoon with Redshank and Greenshank, and 37 Ringed Plover with 13 Dunlin on the beach (and another 3 of the latter on the lagoon).

Water levels are lower than I have ever seen them here: the corner by Crabhall barely passes as a puddle.  The next tide to break into the lagoon over the 'stepping stones'  isn't until 15th August, with barely a drop of rain due between now and then.
