Marloes Area for a few days

A few highlights from two nights camping in West Hook Farm, first of all though on Tuesday evening I was watching the valley at Marloes Sands when I saw a possible Aquatic Warbler, all though the views where brief and after a hour of searching, there was no sign. Unfortunately I am unsure as to whether I saw the crown stripe, which would be needed to confirm the ID, so sadly will go down as unconfirmed unless someone else finds it!

Tuesday

Martin's Haven: four Common Scoter south, five Wheatear, 86 Linnet, 39 Goldfinch (big flock feeding in stubble field), and three Grey Seal pups.

Marloes Mere: a Shoveler, a pair of Pochard, a Green Sandpiper, four Sedge Warbler, ten Willow Warbler, a Whitethroat, and a Whinchat Infront of Oriole Hide.

Marloes Sands: Didn't have time to count but lots of migrants in the valley Sedge Warbler, Whitethroat, Chiffchaff, Willow Warbler, and a few Sand Martin overhead.

Musselwick: cracking views of a pair of Kestrel.

Wednesday

Marloes Mere: three Teal, a female Pochard, nine Little Grebe (including four chicks), two Curlew over, immature Peregrine in front of hide then flew off, Kestrel, 115 Swallow, three Willow Warbler, and two Whitethroat

A Tree Pipit calling on a hedgerow for a bit at the Campsite before flying off.

Plus all the regulars.
