West Williamston Osprey and Newport waders

The osprey was on the pole in the Carew River at 4.15 this afternoon, just having caught a fish. It stayed there about an hour before flying a short distance downstream and settling in a tree on the far bank.

Yesterday evening at Newport Parrog on the rising tide a good selection of waders including 21 ringed plover, 3 knot, 7 barwits, 1 greenshank, 2 redshank, 3 sanderling, numerous dunlin and 6 little egrets. Some wigeon also present, too far away and partially obscured to count.
