Since the barred warbler we have had a flurry of good birds by island standards. A ruff found by Nia on 11th was only the 5th record for Ramsey while a green woodpecker (Daf Rees) on the same day was only the 4th record and the first since 2005. 4 mute swans (Nia) on 13th are not a regular on the year list, a greenfinch on 14th sadly likewise these days. The first redwing of the autumn has been logged and today saw the first great spotted woodpecker of the year
