A decent selection of gulls up the river late morning, at least 20 Mediterranean Gull included 5 with colour rings, 3 have been here before but 2 were new (white 3368, 3557, 3TR9, green ALAJ, yellow AZUS). A Firecrest in the overhanging scrub above the beach east of the car park, a Red-throated Diver in the bay, and a Fieldfare along the road by Pickleridge cottages. 2 Chiffchaff in the garden this morning (both collybita) and the same or another 2 in the 'sandpit' quarry later on. Waders included single Bar-tailed Godwit and Ringed Plover, and 2 Grey Plover up the river. (Dave & Lisa)
