Hoping someone can help identify what bird these
feathers came from, and what was likely to have killed it. Found in our
field a couple of days ago. There was just a handful of feathers, no
carcase, but a bit of soil disturbance near a sapling which makes me
think maybe fox?
The orange tinge doesn’t show up too well in the photo. Could it be woodcock? If so that’s a first for here.
