Iceland and Glaucous gulls, Llys-y-fran

With the fine calm weather it wasn't really surprising to find hardly any gulls on the water when I arrived at 4pm but when 4:45 came and still only a handful I was wondering what was going on. Eventually I found them, stacked up above the hide, can't recall that happening before. A pair of adult GBBs were really on the hunt, marauding through the tightly packed roost and viciously grabbing a couple of young herring gulls, each broke free before the second GBB could get there, but you could see the whole of the roost was on edge with lots of frantic paddling and repositioning. The larger paler Glaucous gull appeared at 4:30 had a quick wash and flew straight off, returning again at 4:50pm. The other slightly smaller Glaucous gull appearing just after 5pm. With the gulls very close and against a flat calm dark background for once scanning through them past sunset was more straightforward and eventually a pristine adult Iceland gull came into view, don't see many of this age here. Otherwise 8 adult Mediterranean gulls and 3 Yellow-legged gulls. 3 pairs of Wigeon were new. Rosebush reservoir earlier, just a single male Goldeneye.
