I guess the 41 Whimbrels were the highlight today. 4 Curlew and 2 Bar-tailed Godwits with the estuarine Whimbrel flock. 5 Goosander on the river through the reserve were surprising - 3 males and 2 females. Tonight's White Wagtail roost was only c 5 birds, surprising after last night's 150 White Wagtails. The first Reed Warblers were singing yesterday too.
