In the fields just North of Carew Millpond this morning large numbers of Goldfinch and Linnet - 300 plus birds in several mixed flocks with many juveniles amongst them.
On the Carew River an Osprey was perched on a post in the middle of the river near New Shipping Point. It ignored 3 canoes which passed within 50 metres of it. On a fallen dead tree on the south bank an impressive high tide roost of 19 Little Egrets.
