The Short-eared Owl was again present near Newgale late this afternoon in a field to the right of the pull in area, in much the same place as it has twice been reported recently. Having waited for about half an hour, I briefly saw it flying at about 5.10 pm, and it then settled on a fence post for at least 15 minutes, giving me a good opportunity to take some photos.
