Higgons Well, Druidstone

I'm in my study hibernation for my A-Level exams currently, but had time for a walk around Higgons Well yesterday morning and a quick visit to Druidstone in the evening.

The first two Common Sandpipers of the year, a single Swallow, a few Willow Warblers and a singing Sedge Warbler in the reeds were all firsts of the year for me. Single Grey Wagtail, no Teal.

Walked north from Druidstone, two Sand Martins and a Swallow, Willow Warbler, plus my first Whitethroat of the year and a reeling Grasshopper Warbler in the lower valley.

A rather nice showing male Stonechat.
A few days ago, we were treated to a male Sparrowhawk in the garden (Haverfordwest)!
