In June the Pembrokeshire Ringing Group ringed 100 Herring Gull chicks with blue colour rings so if anyone sees them please let us know and ideally read the letters which will be C:XXX. On friday last week a revisit to the colonies to see if any had died before fledging found 7 dead chicks and in Bullums Bay around 170 chicks on the water together with a female Eider.
The Manxie and Stormie plots continue to attract birds with up top 20 Manxies ashore at one time and a few Stormies visiting the walls throughout the night. Its going to be interesting in 2026.
