A single female Shoveler and 2 female Pintail amongst 37 Mallard was new for this autumn. Wigeon (51) and Teal (80) numbers are starting to grow and a large flock of Canada Geese (est. 250+) was, today, mostly on the shoreline.
The first Lapwings (13) of the autumn were on the shore and a flock of 150 Golden Plovers circled overhead. Curlew (75), Redshank (15) , Greenshank (6) and 2 Bar-tailed Godwits made up the waders.
