This gull was at Church Lake this morning (Thursday) around the spit along with the usual collection of herring and black headed gulls. Initially quite close to the road in by the stream by the time I had got home to get a camera and returned it was much further away at the end of the spit so photos are heavily cropped. There is almost no colour on the bird other than the tip of its bill and faint colour at the end of the wing tips. (Thanks to Dave A for confirming the id.)
