An afternoon walk with the dog took me to the Gann, not especially to see the Curlew Sandpipers, though it would be nice to see them again, there were some birders there already. Huw caught me up on Pickleridge & showed me a picture of a Spotted Redshank he`d seen earlier so I had a look for that without success, but I came upon a Ruff on the small island. Two Swallows flew over & a Kingfisher flashed past towards Crabhall. as I was walking back to my car I was thinking it would be nice to see a Glossy again, when my phone pinged - Glossy Ibis at Philbeach! What!! I was there in five minutes looking through the Gulls & Jackdaws & there it was, difficult to find in amongst everything else & as I pressed the shutter it dissapeared over the rise in the field! I spent 10 minutes hoping it would reappear which it did flying off towards Marloes (mere?). Thanks to Mark Reynolds for finding it in less than ideal conditions.
